Maserati created the Grand Touring (GT) segment 60 years ago in 1957, and have launched the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Sport Special Edition versions to celebrate the anniversary.
Only 400 units will be produced, and have been unveiled in Geneva, the same place where the original 3500 GT was introduced.
McLaren have been making headlines recently with their forward-thinking approach, looking to introduce hybrid engines across their entire range by 2025.
Now in Geneva, the new generation McLaren Super Series has been unveiled, starting with the 720PS horsepower McLaren 720S.
"This is the first time we have replaced a product family and the new 720S is absolutely true to McLaren's pioneering spirit in being a revolutionary leap forwards, both for our brand and the supercar segment," said CEO Mike Flewitt.
It's not all supercars, by any means - Renault are unveiling their two-seater ZOE e-sport concept electric car in Geneva, with two electric motors capable of 460bhp.
ZOE can hit 62mph from a standing start in 3.2 seconds, and 130mph in less than ten seconds, based on a design brief that simply said: "Have fun!"
There's also a new Seat Ibiza which aims to break barriers and appeal to a higher customer segment, following months of strong sales for the brand.
Seat's VP of sales and marketing Wayne Griffiths said: "We are growing at double digit rates for the brand as a whole and in our major markets, and our market share continues to go up.
"With the Ibiza we are presenting at the Geneva Motor Show and the new models in our product offensive, we are confident that we will sustain this momentum throughout the year."
Finally, there are a few less familiar names on show, starting with Chinese supercar maker Techrules, who have chosen Geneva for the world premiere of their first hybrid supercar series, Ren.
The futuristic design has been based on aerospace concepts, including a distinctive upper canopy that rises up to allow access for the driver and up to two passengers.
And last of all, Alpine are back one year on from exhibiting their Alpine Vision concept car, and this time are revealing their A110 production car.
The A110's 252hp engine might sound small, but the vehicle itself weighs barely over a tonne - giving it a 0-62mph time of just 4.5 seconds.
